About Michelle Koester, FNP
Michelle Koester, FNP, is a board-certified women’s health and family nurse practitioner who sees patients ages 4 and older. She provides general OB-GYN and internal medicine services, including preventive care such as annual physicals and well-woman exams, sick visits, vaccinations, screenings, contraception counseling, menstrual issues, menopause, and family planning. She also manages illnesses like colds and flu, and chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, anxiety, depression, and asthma. She also prescribes weight management medications.
Michelle cares for patients at each stage of their health journey. She uses shared decision-making to develop the best medical plan that fits the patient's lifestyle and willingness to manage their health. She emphasizes that preventive care is key, promoting an active lifestyle and proper nutrition.
Originally from St. Louis, Michelle is active with her pets and family. She enjoys spending time at the lake, boating, traveling, and attending local sporting events, including hockey and football games.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri. She also earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri.
