BJC Health Named as Among “Best Places to Work in Healthcare” by Becker’s Hospital Review
BJC Health has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review among the top places nationally to work in health care. BJC was one of only four Missouri-based health systems on its annual “Best Places to Work in Healthcare” list—and the only health system serving the Kansas City region.
“These organizations invest deeply in their people, offering robust benefits, meaningful opportunities for professional and personal development, inclusive environments where employees feel valued, mission-driven work, and resources that support true work-life balance,” wrote Becker’s in releasing the list. “Beyond their walls, many also make a powerful difference in their communities through service initiatives and a strong commitment to social responsibility.”
Among the factors contributing to BJC’s inclusion were “a workplace culture grounded in Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Safety, and Teamwork.” Becker’s also mentioned a robust benefits package, a commitment to belonging and inclusion via Connections groups, and opportunities for career growth through the BJC Institute for Learning and Development. Becker’s also recognized BJC’s commitment to its employees and communities through coordinated employee and behavioral health support following the May 2025 St. Louis tornado.
“BJC attracts and retains top talent nationwide by fostering a supportive and enriching work environment where all team members can bring their authentic selves to work,” says Jackie Tischler, BJC Health chief people officer. “We also take pride in being ‘the best at getting better’ by constantly striving to create an even more engaging work experience, which ultimately benefits our patients and communities.”
